San Francisco Dancing & April Tour Tix

Hello Listeners,

I have a few things to tell you about

  • Midwest Tour Report
  • March 15, 17, 21, 23 & 25 with ODC at Yerba Buena in SF
  • Tickets onsale for April/May Tour

I am happy to report that my February Midwest tour went very well. I was a bit worried about driving across a frigid Nebraska with a toddler, but we totally lucked out with the weather and it was bright and balmy for most of the trip. This time around we discovered that public libraries are a valuable resource for a touring family. Almost every day we would drive for a bit and then stop at a library so that Cellobaby could romp around the children’s area, read books and play with toys. Thank you libraries…and a huge thank you to everyone who came to the concerts and stuck around to chat afterwards. I’ll be back in Chicago on September 16 to play at the Old Town School and maybe a few other Midwest cities.

Next week begins a series of performances with me and ODC Dance at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. I’ve performed with dance companies in Europe and Colorado, but never in my home city, so I’m really happy to be doing this. We’ll be doing a new work by ODC called “Breathing Underwater”. It contains some of my existing music that has never been played live before and I’ve asked the amazing Magik Magik Orchestra to accompany me for part of it.  The dates are March 15, 17, 21, 23 and 25. On the 15th there is a Gala dinner preceding the show, and that evening only I’ll play solo in addition to performing with the dancers.

Last but not least, tickets are onsale for my next tour:

12 April - Cedar - Minneapolis MN

26 April - Largo - Los Angeles CA

27 April - UC Riverside - Riverside CA

03 May - Neptune Theater - Seattle WA

04 May - Aladdin Theater - Portland OR

05 May - Shedd Institute - Eugene OR

(sorry folks, my concert in Reston, VA on April 14 is sold out)

For the Seattle and Portland shows, the new music group Fear No Music will be opening and perhaps joining me on a piece or two. Ticket links and more info can be found at bit.ly/zoetour

If you’re on the West Coast, now’s your chance to see me live….because I probably won’t return until 2013, after my new album is released (fingers crossed).

Thank you thank you!

celloly yours, Zoe
